Hey you guys! So this week has been way tough. Spanish is so hard! Should it be getting harder? lol Pero, it´s also been a great week. Our investigadors finally attended church last sunday! And all of our inactive members attended. So my goal that I made my first sunday here (to have the chapel full of people by the time I left this area) happened! Yay! Because the first sunday there were only like 25 people there. But this sunday, we had close to 100. :) So our hard work is paying off. Finally!
We got permission from Presidente Amaya last night to go out of our area to see the land of iguanas for later today. Yay! He never let´s anyone do that! We were so shocked. So I should hopefully have pictures for you next week. Also, last pday we went to the only mall here to eat. And I got some Carls jr. I got a cheesburger! Yay! Made my whole week. The food here is getting more interesting. I´m not sure what I dislike more, tuna fish with spagetti or cow stomach. Both were pretty rough to get through.haha All the drinks here are amazing! Water is kind of expensive to buy here all the time. So we have coke and fruity drinks. I´ve had so many fruits I haven´t even heard of before. So good!!
Last week one of our investigadors started comparing me to a model in some magazine... and a few days later he showed it to us. Kind of awkward. My comp and I just stared at each other like... what the heck?! Yep. Stuff like that happens here all the time... because I´m a gringo. Obviously. lol
We have 2 new investigadors. We´ll see if there´s anything promising in there. Our other 2 are amazing! They went to church and want to again next week. Yay! And we´re getting close to finishing lessons with them... and their baptismal date is coming up. So that´s exciting stuff.
The members here are amazing! They make us yummy empanadas and other snacks all the time. And we have 2 members that like to teach with us all the time. They´re preparing for their missions. They´re so cool! One loves speaking english... so we get service in by helping him while he helps us teach. It´s pretty rad. They´re both going to be amazing missionaries!
Let´s see... life here is becoming normal for me. So strange. Oh! Did I tell you guys last week that the garbage trucks here play carnaval music? How flipping weird is that? haha Every night... that´s all we hear. It cracks us up.
I think that´s everything new here. Sorry I don´t have more to tell. I hope you´re all doing well. I know that the Lord is watching over all of you. He has strenghtend my testimony here like you wouldn´t believe. I promise you that as you read the scriptures and pray for help, you´ll find it. He want´s to help you. Go to him.
Love you guys!
